On May 4th, more than 250 Auberle clients, families, and staff gathered at Edgewood Country Club to celebrate our first All-Star Banquet since 2019 — our biggest in-person event since 2020! We gave out more than 40 awards recognizing individuals and families for their exceptional growth, resilience, compassion, and commitment to Auberle’s mission.
Among the evening’s awardees were Mike and Jackie Trimble, who were honored with the Sibling Preservation Award. Mike and Jackie fostered nine biological siblings. Now, Mike and Jackie are getting ready to permanently adopt all nine siblings, keeping this family together. In addition to Mike and Jackie, each one of the children attended the banquet, where they received a heartfelt standing ovation during the award presentation. Congratulations to the entire Trimble family!
Kajha, a young woman who’s been with the Auberle Employment Institute (EI) since 2018, was also recognized that evening as EI Work Experience Participant of the Year. Kajha worked as a front desk attendant at the EI all four years of high school, gaining life-changing professional and personal skills along the way. Due to her drive and determination, Kajha received a full ride scholarship to California University of Pennsylvania where she plans to study graphic design and business! We are so proud of Kajha and grateful for the fantastic work she has done at the EI over the years.
Auberle was also delighted to present the Community Partner Award to Gisele Fetterman, Second Lady of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Fetterman has been a superb partner to Auberle foster care. Most recently, she was a vocal advocate for Auberle’s “Love Carries” campaign to raise awareness and interest in becoming a foster family for the children and teens that we serve. Thank you, Mrs. Fetterman, for helping us guide children to loving, caring homes.
These are just a few of the dozens of deserving honorees recognized at the All-Star Banquet. We are thrilled to be able to host in-person celebrations once again. Coming together in this way is a powerful reminder that despite a challenging couple of years, Auberle stands tall, strong, and steadfast in its mission to change lives for the better.
