Fourth Annual Spelling Bee

Auberle volunteers hosted its fourth annual spelling bee, themed “March Madness” on Monday, March 8 at the Main Campus in the program center. Each year, the spelling bee is held to teach youth about the importance of spelling and how to win and lose gracefully.

Eighteen-youth from Auberle’s residential Program B, ages 8-13, competed in the spelling bee in hopes of making it to the “final four.” This year’s winners were: Travon, first place; Daniel, second place; Shadeed, third place; and Deven, fourth place.

Dicks Sporting Goods, Wilson and KFC donated prize items for the finalists that included “final four” college basketball t-shirts, basketballs and gift cards.
