Bingo! "We have a winner!! Hold your cards please . . . "

These words resounded time and again at the Fifth Annual "Make a Difference" Auberle bingo. Mr. Bob Casey, Allegheny County Councilman, was the celebrity guest caller for the event. With nearly 200 people attending, the bingo was again financially successful. Enough money was raised to purchase - 12 Dell computers, printers, and software for the new GOAL building.

Several of Auberle residents - boys and girls - were the hosts for the event. They catered to every attendee's needs for food, drink, bingo cards for the specials, etc. Many of those attending remarked on how courteous and thoughtful each of the residents were.

Marcy Cendroski and Judy Kinlough chaired the annual event, with the able assistance of their bingo committee. The annual bingo is the only fundraiser sponsored by the volunteers. Judy Kinlough again supplied the beautifully crafted Chinese Auction baskets. Donations were received from area businesses, cultural centers, sports teams and individuals, ranging from goods to passes for events to gift certificates. Many volunteers also donated items for the various baskets. The homemade baked goods area was very popular, with many items sold before they reached the sale table. Approximately 50 volunteers worked in some capacity either before or during the event to make it such a success.
